Arcus Bows

Arcus Carbon fibre Violin bows are hand made in Austria. These guys take an extremely technical approach to making these bows. {'Vorsprung-durch-tecknic' would be their motto if it hadn't already been used by someone else!} All their bows have a raw carbon fiber grey finish........they believe that the pigment adversely effects the playing quality of the bow. And who knows ..... they may be right ! The really different thing about them though, is that they are all made very lightweight but with enough resilience in the stick to produce a good full tone. So once you get used to the lightness, you can achieve better results with less effort, and with less strain on the bow hand and arm. There's one here especially for 5 stringers, my Octave violins, and any other violin. Have a look at the E4. It's the one with the Star on the frog. I love it !!!

Arcus M3
If it's a good quality light bow you are after, then this is definitely worth a try. It weighs in at about 55gms. That's 5 gms lighter than the norm. They have a nice Piratinera frog, brown leather grip and nickel silver shiny bits.
